you're welcome...

So, if you've spoken to me in the last two days you've probably heard me pat myself on the back talk about how I spent (a few hours) of my Saturday.
Cleaning.
Cleaning Matt & Zach's room (they did help...a little) & cleaning the play room.
That's right, 5 hours.
I will be the first to admit that I am a little OCD when it comes to this task. This (unfortunately) does not just involve a little dusting & vacuuming. This involves organizing, moving furniture, two large bags of garbage (cheap toys) etc.
My kids want to run & hide when I get in this mode.
After the first half hour...I let them.
After the cleaning/organizing festivities I HAD to document the fruits of my labor. Who knows how long it will last, after all.

This dresser was COVERED with Lego creations, papers, books......not any more!!!

Each cubby of these shelves had papers, books, more lego creations , Pokemon cards & misc toy pieces CRAMMED into them...not any more!!!

I went through almost every bucket & sorted, and sorted, and sorted...

...moved bookshelves & train tables to vacuum...

And, showing absolutely no humility at all...left this message on their chalkboard...

Of course, only two of the four people (who rarely use this room) can read. Then, one of the two readers added the word "NOT" under my little message. So appreciative, aren't they??

Oh well...it made me feel better!!

You have the cutest playroon EVER!!! I know what you mean about getting in the clean mode - my kids run and hide too when I get that way. I can so relate to garbage bags of cheap toys, paper and just crap getting tossed. It feels SOOOOO good - but it doesn't last long in my house either.

Such cute rooms! I love the colors of the walls in both! I like our stuff organized too and I am VERY impressed with the labeled bins :-). The "not" comment gave me a good laugh too.

I was in that mode last weekend and if I'd had a dumpster in front of my house I could and would have used every bit of it. It's a nice feeling to deep clean like that. Good job!!!

Ok besides the fact that everything looks amazing you house is the cutest thing I have ever seen. So I have decided you can come to my house and paint the rest of my bare walls since you do such a cute job ok. We cleaned out stuff this weekend to and it feels so good and when I say we I mean brandon. He cleaned out the whole garage and know everything is in his knew shed and basically nothing in the garage sucked out all the dead spiders etc.... Now it looks beautiful. Dont you love seeing the finished project great job....

Oh, my long lost OCD sister. Where have you been all my life?

Now we must talk about the black and white photos on the wall in the boys' room. LOVE them. I need to steal that idea. Did you take them yourself?

You did all that in a few hours? I have been cleaning out stuff and only got my papers filed in a few hours. What's my problem? Darling rooms btw!

I love your playroom. My boy's room (they are 15 & 16) is piled so deep I can't even see the carpet anymore! I have to kiss them goodnight at the door because I can't make it into their room!! I'm just waiting patiently until school starts. As soon as they leave the house....watch out!!

I've been trying to decide which I want more...your cute rooms or some organization. Although, I am known to be quite OCD in that department, too, just need to get the itch. Off to watch "Clean Sweep" that always does it for me.
