Pioneer Day Festivities...

The fun started (for us) on the 23rd. Bountiful takes their Handcart Day Celebrations seriously. For the city, the party starts about a week before Pioneer Day.

Who knew that a 15 pack of glow sticks (for $1.99)...

We have quite the view of fireworks from our front yard. The fireworks are just about 1 block away & there are no trees blocking the view.

Next year...party in our front yard!!!!

On Pioneer Day we went to the Carnival! Again, FUN!!! The kids were in HEAVEN! There's rides, cheap food, blow-up slides...you name it.

We've only lived here for 1 1/2 years (and hope we stay forever!!) We had a BLAST participating in the fun! Can't wait 'til next year!!

Random stuff...

Lizzie's favorite thing to say these days is "Go away, Matt!!"

She's mean.

(Not really, she's very sweet usually, but she's mean about this.)

Matt is soooo sweet to her & loves her so much. He trys to play with her, read to her, sit by her...and what does she say? "Go away, Matt!"

Well...Matt got lucky the other day and was actually allowed to sit by her.

I LOVE the look on his face. It's the look that says "Don't move, don't talk, just sit quietly and take what you can get."

Sam has had a reoccurring scrape on the end of his big toe. The foot that does all of the work when scooter riding. The other day it flared up for the third time and at that very moment my hands were full & I asked him if he could get the band aid & take care of it.

Well, he took care of it.

NOTHING takes care of a small scrape like a GIANT band aid! I thought it was pretty funny!

Last, but certainly not least...one of my favorite new sites, Pineapple Hill Designs is having a fun contest. This boutique has the cutest monogrammed dresses for little girls, gift ideas, & beautiful home decor items. It's really a fun place to visit! Go check it out!!

Yuba Lake '08...

We went on our 2nd annual Yuba trip with Eric (my brother), Angie & the boys this weekend. This was the funnest day of our Summer. We have sooooo much fun with these guys. They are fun to hang out with, so generous with their toys, and we love 'em!

LOVE IT!!

I LOVE it when these boys find something they can ALL do together. This doesn't happen as often as I would like. It's usually the two boys...and the one little boy. The two big boys have so much in common, and are as close as two brothers could possibly be. The little brother trys soooo hard to fit into that equation. Unfortunately, 1+1=2...NOT 3. Especailly when the little brother thinks that fitting in means tormenting to get attention.

{sigh}

This was one of those moments when you tip toe around them, you do not speak, sneeze or cough because you don't want to rock the boat. So, of course I do what any camera happy mom does & I make a photo op out of it. Thankfully, I did not disturb the peaceful play.
