donation tree...

At Back to School night the Fifth grade teachers had a "donation tree" displayed with leaves that were labeled with different things needed for the fifth grade classes. The idea was that you pick a leaf (or two...or TWENTY...AHEM) off and return the needed items to school with your 5th grader(s).

That night we had Matt & Zach each pick three leaves off. Done.

Well, the first day of school {my sweet} Matt came home and announced that there were still leaves on the donation tree so he picked THE REST of them off and brought them home...

I'm glad I have a thoughtful boy!

What a conscientious boy! Thoughtful, kind, giving...sounds like he has a big heart! You're a lucky mom! (broke, but lucky!)

He's so generous, with your cash. He's sweet and adorable. Love the long hair.

At least he didn't take a whole bunch off and then forget to give them to you... that would be what Jax would do.

What a cute boy! I bet his teacher loves him.

Don't you just love your "free" public education?

what a great story - I am sure it was all the best (expensive) stuff left! are school isn't aloud to ask us for anything - guess I should be grateful! (I like the long hair too!)

Uhhhhh...if you re-attach leaves to a tree will it live?

He is a thoughtful boy, indeed. That is the lovely part :)

I think I've been asked for $100 of donations since the first day of school. Let me know when you get all of those!
