baseball wrap up...

It started with a little of this...

(I know I'm biased, but seriously...how cute are they in their uniforms??)
...and ended with this
(AWESOME hit, awesome slide...SAFE!!)
The Rockies baseball season came to an end last night. Bummer. I love watching my boys play baseball.
They informed me a few weeks ago that they didn't want to play again next year. I was sad. But...last night they both played a great game and helped the team score a few runs...and agreed to do it again! YES!!

behold your little ones...

I have felt so strongly lately that I need to relish this time of my life. I always wanted to be a mom. I thought college was a waste of time because I knew all I wanted to be was a mom (I think my grades proved this at times...)
It is very sobering to read stories like this and remember just how valuable and precious this time with my kids is.
Matt and Zach are growing into such honorable and good young men. I am so proud of them. They are courteous, kind and so friendly.
Sam keeps me smiling. He takes important thing so seriously and will be a great leader one day.
Lizzie's favorite thing to do right now is wrap her arms around me for a giant hug. At any given moment she will say "Mom, I love you."
Do we have bad days? Absolutely.
Do I want to pull my hair out at times and send everyone to their room? Definitely.
Would I trade it? Never.
I love these kids so much and love being their mom.

"Thanks for the BEST day ever, mom..."

You are welcome.
Apparently, all it takes to make a Birthday great is...
*a few presents

*Big Mac for lunch
(they seriously thought this was the coolest part of the day)

*first Court of Honor
where they received their Scout Rank Advancement,
and a sweet Birthday cake!

It about did me in seeing my babies in giant scout shirts with all of the other big kids.

Happy eleventh guys!
I LOVE you!!

perfect combination...

We were shopping for some baseball gear for the boys and I turned around to find little miss all dressed up for her turn on the field.

This was exactly what I hoped for in a little girl...tough with a little pink around the edges.

I love a good storm...

...thankfully the rain didn't start until the game was over and we were in the car.

I have always loved a good thunder storm. I'm sure living in Minnesota when I was little has something to do with that. I remember falling asleep to a raging thunder storm and loving every minute of it. I never even got scared. Laying in bed and listening to the rain outside...pure heaven. I was trying to convince my kids that storms like this are cool and relaxing. They weren't buying it.
