Sammy the salesman...

Sam has been wanting to sell something...anything. He wants to sell a Gameboy game that he is tired of. We asked him who or how he would go about this. His reply "Well, I saw a kid at Target that had a Gameboy...I'll just sell it to him for $10." His {new} plan (since we talked him out of trying to find the kid from Target)...set up a table, make a sign, sell it.
Today he changed his mind and decided to sell cookies. Now, I make pretty good chocolate chip cookies, apparently Sam thinks they are AWESOME, because he could not get the $10 figure out of his head. When we asked him if it was $10 for all four cookies he looked at us like we had completely insulted him. It was $10 per cookie. DUH!
He made a sign...
He set up a table...
He sat & waited...
and waited...
and licked a cookie...
and waited...
and licked another cookie...
This went on for about 45 min.
No luck.
It probably would have been easier to track down the kid from Target.
(oh yea...and our lawn really needs to be mowed. I'll pay $10)

that is so cute. I love that picture. He seems so hopeful. It's so funny when kids catch that entreprenial spirit.

Maybe people were confused what a "COOKIG" was? I, for one, would have paid $10, if I got a COOKIG and a smile!

Too cute - he has ambition and desire! He and Bailey have got to hook up!

Those must be some great cookies! Is it the same recipe you posted for the M&M cookies? I would have bought the cookies, if just to see the look on his face (and yours when he came in the house with the 10 bucks!) What a great kid!

He is the long lost brother to my two boys. They made big plans to go buy candy bars at Sam's Club and sell them door to door for $5 each. I talked them off that scary ledge. My sucker neighbors would probably buy them, too. They're all old people who don't know any better.

I would buy all four of those cookies for 10 bucks right now. It must be Friday night and I still have a houseful of kids.

You need to teach Sam about Ebay. That will solve his selling problems.Plus, no one needs to see your uncut lawn. Will you get on that?

Sam reminds me of Mack! How cute. Mack used to do things like that all the time. Maybe he'll run for County Commissioner when he's 25.
