must haves...

A few things that are a must have in my house...if these things are not present, the stars just do NOT align and I'm just flat out cranky.

An assortment of cereal (at least 4-5 boxes) And yes, I do buy the sugar kind.

What can I say...I have a problem.

{Good} Hair Products...I buy in bulk whenever possible.

Diapers...a no brainer.

NOW...

The must have NOTS...

If you bring any or all of these things into my house, we may or may not remain friends.

I have white counter tops and white cupboards and 4 little kids...enough said.

Again...4 kids and a white kitchen. Plus NO ONE can just pop one of these is their mouth...open up, eat the cream from one side, eat the cream from the other side, eat the cookie part (or not)...black crumbs EVERYWHERE!

Sam (4) had asked for this for his Birthday...I think not.

Yea, yea...I know...they're cute & loyal. They also shed, stink, chew and slobber. Sorry to any dog lovers. I don't mind them in YOUR house, just don't bring one to mine.

I'm sure any family members reading this are starting to get "funny" ideas about upcoming Birthdays around here. Let me just tell you that if you act on any of those "funny" ideas...payback will be UGLY!

I say anyone who gives you a dog for a birthday present gets a ton of moonsand dumped on their front lawn! (Who invented that stuff anyway?....it's in every nook & cranny of my kitchen floor!)

dogs eh? I was thinking more of a lizard for the kids birthdays, but a dog works too. I guess with 3 birthdays in 1 month I still have one more pet to think of. Kitten? Snake? Hamster? Guinea Pig? Payback can't be THAT ugly. Remember who I live with.

I use that difi stuff too. I need more. I love it! Sounds like you all had an amazing week at women's conference/blog get-together!

You forgot slime and noise toys! I guess that means I can get that for Sam's birthday!!

I am so out of little kid-dom, I don't know what moon sand is!! Is that the gift you give with a letter of apology written to the mom included? Like when my friend MO gave my kids a HUGE bucket of sidewalk chalk?

No oreos in my house, LOVE THEM, CANNOT RESIST THEM, CANNOT EACH JUST ONE OF THEM.

DItto on the Cheetos.

Amen!

Do you LOVE happy hour at sonic?

soooo you! I enjoyed this post very much. especially the must have NOTS. I laughed out loud at the cheetos and oreos. only because I know how anal you get about those certain snack foods, but it does help you manage to keep your house always looking every so sparkling clean.

Happy Hour at sonic= 1/2 off drinks. Namely, Diet Coke.

So do you just NOT LIKE Oreos, or do you not like the mess they bring? I love them. I dip them in milk, and then, GASP, don't separate. I eat them as a sandwich.

Annee, I think that oreos are downright fabulous, and I'm with you on the dunking...however, the mess drives me up the wall!!!

Now I can understand why you and Alison are friends !! Especially the diet coke and cereal !!

I'm totally with you on the cheetos, and moon sand...seriously...what were they thinking? I'll respectfully disagree with you on the Oreo's...I like them way too much. Now for the dog...does it make sense that I agree...but I have one? If I knew it wouldn't traumatize the kids and that they wouldn't hate me forever it would be gone tomorrow!!

Along with the have nots should be pixie sticks, fun dip, kool-aid packets or anything else in the POWDERY STICKY category!!!! oh yeah also capri sun--you grab the drink and stick the straw in and the drink comes out of the straw leaving little STICKY drops ALL over the floor!!!

You can send your kids over to my house. I'm a fun mom. We eat Cheetos and Oreos and we play with sand in the house. Everyone loves me, except my husband.

Love this post!! Though I have different choice of poison- mine are Dr. Pepper and Honey Bunches of Oats.
I'm 1000 percent with you on the don'ts. And I painfully waved the flag of defeat in Jan. when dh insisted we get a dog for our oldest's bday (he used all the leverage he could get- sending me emails about dogs with kids with autism....went straight for the heart). I HATE the mess that comes with our dog though. The light at the end of the disgusting tunnel is I will be getting new carpet and new shutters. Something good has to come of it.
Cheetos are yum but SUCH a mess. Can't stand that. Have issues with Doritos for the same reason.
Same with Oreos.
I'm with Diane- slime can be just as bad (if not worse) than Moon Sand. And playdoh is right up there too.
My baby's bday is Sat so I'm glad you reminded me of what not to get him....
