my passion...

I have been a cooking/baking fanatic lately...I went from "Oh crap, what can I throw together for dinner?" to "I wonder what cool, delicious recipes I can find/make up for dinners this week!!!" I have always enjoyed baking (but wasn't that great at it...) but I despised cooking (and definitely wasn't great or even good at it) I don't know what changed, but I LOVE TO COOK & BAKE...I even dedicated another blog for my madness...because I didn't quite have enough going on...not so great for the butt & thighs, but if I keep my 6am appointment with the eliptical machine, it all works out.
I'm not going to lie or even to begin to lead you to believe that everything that comes out of my kitchen is gourmet, sometimes it is an absolute flop, but at least I'm having fun making said flop!

Plus...I have the cutest sous chef...EVER!!!

The point is...this is a happy medium for me...I have found something I absolutely love to do, that is all mine, but has been a great thing to share with family and friends. Sometimes (as we all know) it can be sooooo easy to lose our identities. When what we are used to being called is mom, wife, cub scout leader (yuck), etc...sometimes we forget our own name...but mine is sl-ow-ly coming back to me!

Deep enough for you? Tomorrow (ok, maybe in a day or two)...more funny pics of the kids.

Oh I need and wish I have the desire to cook. Our dinners are usually the same chicken and veggis or fish and veggies. So original I know. You are totally right though she is the cutest little chef I have ever seen.

I'm excited about your other blog!
I am the opposite, I'm not that fond of baking (except when pregnant, sugar seems to cut the queasiness), but I've loved to cook for a long time. I'm a cooking junkie, and I love to be in the kitchen. If you would have told me when I was 19 that someday I would be wearing an apron and be barefoot and pregnant and cooking up a storm I would have told you where to go, but here I am and I couldn't be happier.
We should compare notes at the party.

I like to cook, my husband LOVES to cook! He's in charge of Sunday dinners. I like to bake but, baking doesn't like me! You are a cooking inspiration! Thanks for stopping by to say hi! See you soon!!!!

I love cooking, too. I mean, I used to. Right now, looking at the kitchen makes me want to barf. Check back in a few weeks, I'll be right there with you.

I want a sous chef that looks like that!! I love to bake and cook and my thighs, butt and gut prove it. Oh well, I'd rather be fat and happy than skinny and miserable. Share recipes!!!!

I love this post! I am happy for you. You are right, being in the kitchen is a perfect niche for you. You do a fabulous blog. Not only does it inspire me to be a better cook, it inspires me to find something I love to do. Right now, my niche is bottle feeding and diaper changing!

This body by baked goods, baby.

I liked what you said about finding something that is all ours. Everything gets lost and slowly returns, huh?

Darn straight about that baby chef. She's adorable.

Please don't tell me that you sewed that little apron for your sous chef. I love it!
I couldn't agree more about baking and cooking. I love it and I didn't really know that I would love it as much as I do! There is nothing like making something really yummy (like your cookies) and than sharing them with friends and family! My mantra is "Presentation is everything!" I love your taste buds blog!

Hi Anne Marie- I got your blog from the Blogapalooza list (I'll be there ;). I love this post- cute little sous chef. And cooking is a passion of mine too (have my own food blog). I went over to your food blog and I'm using some of your recipes this week. Hope you don't mind!
