total wash...

Yesterday (Sunday) needs to be a complete "do over" day...actually, there is very little that happened yesterday that I would like to do over.
We have renamed the 3 hour block at church to the 3 hour wrestling match (one hour of that in particular...) I just KNEW last Sunday when my 2 year old sat quietly on my lap that this Sunday was going to be a nightmare, and I was right.
After my sweetie pie bit, pushed and screamed in Nursery (where I am the teacher), I remembered (much too late) that I had forgotten to schedule the VT appointments, was told of a few ways I was lacking in my other calling, etc, etc...I was ready for a little Sunday meltdown. The three boys had to sit (reverently) in separate rooms for 20 min after church...if you can't be reverent at church, you're going to give it a try when we get home.
I am quite certain that I offended/scared a few people at church (and at home) yesterday.
Why is it that the day of rest can be such a stressful day sometimes???

Seriously, the day of rest is anything but. I used to go to church to be refreshed and renewed, no such luck these days. As we were walking up to the church on Sunday, my husband caught a glimpse of us in the glass doors and commented on what a spectacle we are, and how we will be even more so after this baby is born. Every Sunday I have new resolve to things differently, I go in like a lamb, but without fail, I come out like a lion.

I am soooo sorry!! Sundays like that are the pits! We had one like that just a few weeks ago, and I am sure that there are many more to come!

Church has never been the same since I've had kids. That's all I need to say.

What would Sunday be without a few fights, tears and a bloody nose. Is it that hard to sit reverently and not bug, tease or make your brother cry. My boys are angels--with horns--at church!!!!

Just wait til they are teenagers and spend the entire meeting text messaging. Sundays are a test of obedience and tolerance. I can not tolerate my disobedient children.

Once, my two youngest got in a fist fight and the older gave the younger a black eye, in Sacrament meeting. Our bishop (who happens to be our best friend) almost exploded he was trying so hard not to laugh!!!

I was sitting two rows behind you and I promise it didn't look or sound as bad as your are imagining. As for nursery. All I can say it Hooray for July!

There are Sundays that I wonder why I even get up and go! The spirit has no chance of getting through to me with all the chaos.

But then, there are those moments where you realize that your kids are learning... my girls are singing songs about Jesus, and my 5year old will tell me fun facts about Pres. Monson's life.

(Thank goodness they are getting something-- because I am in the hall with the baby for 2 hours!!) :)

I am telling you, the only good Sundays are General Conf. You get to lay around all day in your PJs, watch tv, and eat M&Ms. I seriously think our wards need to start the weekly broadcast. I'd probably be more inclined to attend with a happy heart if I could do it on my living room couch.
