Meg was so excited to see Barack Obama. She insisted we watch it. He really is appealing to a younger crowd - I think is secretly in love with him. My dad is glad that he has a democrat amongst his grandkids!
To make you feel better I'd like to say it was no big deal, but I have to say going to that inaugural ball was a highlight of my life. I still have my gown and look at it sometimes and just smile.
You're a good mom, today was an event that needed to be witnessed by all ages.
That is really cool that your people were home to watch it with you. Mine were in school, and they got to watch it there, but I wish they could have been home watching it with me. (I am being serious)
Taylor came home from school today and said "guess what I watched today, Barrack Obama", I don't know why it surprised me that he said his name so naturally. I said "Who is he?, he said "our President". I have chills looking at that picture of your kids so intrigued, maybe our future holds hope:)
I think thats good that your kids were watching it, they will be a part of history thats for sure. I was trying to teach carson how to say obama yesterday it was pretty funny.....

isn't it just funny how your kids get excited over stuff you wouldn't expect them to? Zach and Brooklyn were both sitting there watching it too!

I'm glad that they got to see it. I had to go to a meeting right as Aretha was belting it out. I still haven't listened to the inaugural address.
We saw it too! (Yawn)... but it is good for the kiddies to watch history in the making!
I think it's great your little guys were interested. Today is definitely a historical day.
You are a good Mom.
I tried, unsuccessfully, to wake Brynn up to watch.
My favorite part was Aretha Franklin's hat.

I did my best to explain its significance to Maddie...but I don't think it worked. She just said "Oh" and went back to coloring.
I took the same picture! I am all about HISTORY!!!

You are such a great Mom! I love that picture...with all of them seeing history being made.
