THIS saved me...I love my tub.

What you do is tell your husband you NEED to soak in the tub for 30 min (you know, for the aches & congestion...and hideaway from the 4 little ones...) then... soak in the tub for 10 min & for the other 20+ min lay on your big comfy bed & catch the end of a Cary Grant movie on TCM.

gotta love the classics...

I LOVE old movies, and thankfully my husband finds them semi entertaining, too! We have a great movie rental place in our hood that has an excellent selection of old movies so we've been taking advantage of it. Sometimes we grab a Hitchcock classic, a good ol' Cary Grant or (my favorite) a Doris Day movie. It's kind of a nice change from the new releases...which quite frankly haven't been appealing to me at all lately.

A flowering pear tree...I have three of them in my backyard & they just make me happy!

Diamonds...seriously, what girl doesn't enjoy looking at these?

A yummy chocolate dessert...especially one with vanilla ice cream!

My boys diving/flipping into a pool...this absolutely mesmerizes me..probably because I never learned how!

And this chick...she's not as innocent as she looks...

She sat (very quietly) on her bathroom counter this morning and "washed" her hair with hand soap...she was rather proud of herself. (It's hard to see just how much of this stuff she went through....it was a lot...)

Why not just taste some while I'm at it?

I married a "flatworm..."

So, I have the "Today Show" on in the morning while I am getting ready for the day (don't especially like Meredith Viera...I do enjoy Matt Lauer & Al ...) This morning there was a story based on the recent news stories of government officials who can not remain faithful...sick...the "Today Show" must be having a slow week because the title of the story was, "Are we wired to cheat on our mates?" COME ON! Let's find EVERY excuse in the book to condone this behavior. Apparently, the "flatworm" that lives in the gills of freshwater fish is the only species found that is continuously monogamous. Whatever...if you want to get really mad, like I was when I re-read this story you can check it out here...so ridiculous.

I wonder if "flatworms" fold laundry, clean bathrooms & do dishes, too...

brotha's & sista's...

These two love each other soooo very much! I have captured more than a few pictures of them lately sitting and standing as close as possible to one another. I don't know if there is anything a mom likes to see more. (Mind you, this is so not the way things always look around here...) Lizzie is going to be very sad in the Fall when her big bro goes to school every day (Mom won't be as sad...) Sam likes to say that Matt & Zach are twins and he & Liz are twins. Thankfully, for me that is only half true...

Looking at those pictures reminded me of another big brother & little sister...

My big bro Eric,was 14 mos old when I was born (go Mom...!) I will say we had a love/hate relationship in our adolescent years, but not now and not when we were little. Rumor has it that I cried, and cried when he went off to Kindergarten without me...I remember that I cried and cried when he went off to college without me. AWWWW!! I hope Sam & Lizzie always stay best buddies!
