Week in Review...

The week started out pretty calm. A picnic in the back yard...

... hanging out...(I love it when they play nice like this!!)

While Sam finished up swimming lessons...

Zach , Matt & Lizzie did this...

She is soooo brave. Sometimes it scares me.

We did a little of this...

We went here...

The Mets had their end of the season BBQ/swimming party! They were given their {much anticipated} trophy's!

Trying to throw the coach into the pool...

They got him!!! (Poor guy!)

Lizzie is FEARLESS in a swimming pool which causes me great fear.

Pinewood Derby...

Cute Cub master!!
I wanted to get a pic of all of us in our uniforms...because I get to wear one, too!!
...and you know, a family who scouts together...whatever.

WALL E!

John's company throws family film festivals a couple of times a year and buys out a few showings of the latest movies. The kids love it. They get to load up on whatever food they want, get to see the movie on opening day, etc.
Cute movie!

It was a great, full week.
I...need...a...NAP!

Goodbye Jordan...

We had to say "See ya" to Jordy tonight...*sniff*, *sniff*...(& I'm not kidding about the tears)
Jordan reports to the MTC on Wednesday for his
mission.
We've been lucky to have him stay with us for the past couple of days. He's put up with a lot...and does it all with a smile!! He is going to be such a great missionary. I am so lucky that my kids have such terrific examples in their cousins. My kids couldn't love them more! Sam gave a talk in Primary on Sunday about missionary work and instead of a picture...he brought a live visual aid...Jordan! Jordy even sat on the stand with Sam. I've never wanted a video camera more.
Sista's...
Sam with his most favorite person EVER...Brynn!
Me with one of my most favorite people...Brynn!!!
I love this kid!

Week in Review...

Sunday started out with Father's day, complete with breakfast in bed for dad. John & I always try to give each other the day off on these occasions...but I'm not so sure I succeeded in that area. He was, however, given a sweet badminton/volleyball net & accessories for the yard. He... the kids have had a fabulous time playing with it this week.

Jordan & Auntie Di came to town!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to Braden's All star baseball game this week. This kid is an AMAZING ball player. Not to mention a totally sweet kid. He pitched, he hit, he was catcher, he was awesome!

The coach (AKA...his dad & my big brother) giving the signs from third base. The baseball all star who started it all!!

We went through a lot of water in the sprinkler & a lot of popsicles this week.

We went to the Farmer's Market...

The kids made masks at the craft tent...

I was hoping to leave with BAGS of fresh, delicious produce & was disappointed when we left with just a $4 bag of kettle corn. We did see lots of crap lovely art for sale, lots of hippies, and not too much armpit hair.

Guess who was the mastermind behind this???

Poor Jordy...only a few more days of sleeping in & naps before heading to the MTC & he has to deal with this.

The week came to an end with a family BBQ at our house so everyone could see Jordan before he leaves.

There are a few things that bring me instant happiness...one of them is when my family is together. I love hosting, I love spending time with everyone laughing, I just love being together. We had a great time, but missed the family members who weren't here!

In other news this week...

Matt was invited to a B-Day party for a friend from school. The party was a 10 year old boys' dream. Water fight, food fight, going into the mountains to roast marshmallows, movie, etc. He had a blast!
The bummer...

Zach wasn't invited to this party. Believe it, or not, this is the first time (in 10 years) this has happened...and will happen many more times as they get older.

I LOVE this kid. He took it like a champ. He spent time with another good buddy and had a blast himself!
He also scored a 2 run RBI for his team during their baseball tournament this week, helping the team win!!

Sam, Sam, Sam...

Sam got himself a "shiner" this week (and NO, not from me...) In an attempt to inflict harm on his brother, Sam lost his balance and fell right into the window seat.

OUCH!!!

Lizzie loves Auntie Di! Lizzie loves the prizes Auntie Di brings. Lizzie loves that she gets to play with Auntie Di's lip gloss!

We had a busy, fun week. We have definitely had our ups & downs. There are definitely bad moments mixed in with the good, but it has been good for me to sit down at the end of the week and highlight all of the good that took place.

On to week four...!!!!!!!
