all about me...

I was tagged by Connie to llist 7 random things about myself. Me, me, me. You can't wait, can you?? This is all about ME! (I'm trying to get you pumped up for this one...I'm not that exciting.)

1. I used to dream of being a ballerina.
The Nutcracker was my favorite part of Christmas and my mom would take me every year.

2. I can only fall asleep on my left side.
When I was pregnant with twins I was told to sleep on my left side for better blood flow (or something like that) 10 years later...I can ONLY fall asleep on my left side

3. Sometimes I talk to myself
Not in a Sybil sort of way...

4. I reeeaaaaally like pickles.
Seriously, I have gone to town with a fork and a jar. Sick, I know.

5. sour candy, licorice, gummi bears + a diet coke = heaven on earth

6. I haven't read the Twilight series and *gasp*, *choke*, *cough*...have no desire to

7. The color pink makes me happy. Anything pink :)

tagged...

Alright...I have now been tagged by two Stacey's to do this tag. Fourth & fourth. 4th file, 4th pic. Brace yourself, this is an exciting one.
This is the ugly, nasty, trashy shed that sat in the backyard of our first house. Like how I hung a wreath on it to cozy it up a bit? Sad attempt, really.
Anyways, we tore it down and built...

...this in it's place. It was a happy time!
But really, it was the fifth pic in the I don't know what number file that takes the cake.
Potty training...
twin-style.
Oh, they would be soooo mad at me.
I tag...anyone who wants to play along!

Viva Las Vegas...

Went on a business trip with this cute guy...

Stayed here in a suite that was bigger than our first apartment...
(3 tv's, 2 bathrooms...no lie. It was heavenly. Then again...any place that will make my bed daily and squeegee my glass shower is a winner in my book)

This is me upon finding out that the mile-long shopping mall that was being built the last time I was there is now open...and available for the taking!!!
Shopping makes me happy.

So, I did a lot of this...

A LOT of this...

And this is a pic of my sad feet after all of that walking and shopping.
TOTALLY worth it.

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!!!!!!!!

{not exactly} friday fashion foto...

This "outfit"(?) was compiled after a rousing game of "pin the nose on John McCain". (The game was TOTALLY his idea, from start to finish. He drew a pic, made noses and rounded up as many family members as he could to play. I don't get it, either) Anyways, he then proceeded to draw on himself. Two of the leftover noses were strategically placed. How can you not photograph stuff like this??
All I can say is he had better be a good teen...I have a lot of good material here if he's not.

we voted!!!

Election day ranks as one of my most favorite days. Too bad it only comes around every 4 years...

We've had some great conversations with the boys about the election process. It has been a great review for me, and they LOVED that they got to be a part of the process at school.
The results at the Elementary school:

McCain by a landslide.

I think my kids are going to be disappointed when they wake up in the morning to (possibly) have a different outcome in the real world.
This will be especially shocking since rumor on the playground was that a win for Obama would result in school on the weekends and the cancelling of Christmas (man, people really brainwash their kids.)

*I think Sam voted to never wear pants again. Ever.
