homework...

Something exciting/entertaining/naughty usually happens when this character sits down to do his homework.

We were in a little bit of a rush to get this one done (which as ANY parent of a five year old knows...you can't rush ANYTHING.)
He started out by writing an incomplete sentence. Easily corrected, right? WRONG. Especially if your rushed five year old gets mad if something on the homework needs to be changed. No matter how gentle or positive the delivery is from me. I had him re-read what he wrote and asked him what it needed. He didn't answer. I suggested adding "the" before "cat." Still, no answer...maybe a few choice words for me...from him, though. This went back and forth. He finally GRABBED the paper and added an "s" to cat. Smarty pants.
This was last night's homework. It speaks for itself.
He's handing it in as is.

His teacher is young and cute and thinks he's hilarious (he's lucky, this will not always be the case). Guess she'll get a good laugh today.

Seriously - who is that cute stinkin kid and where did he come from?
He told you - by adding that "S" - way to stick it to the mother!

It must be seriously entertaining to be a kindergarten teacher...especially Sam's! :)

I know it is not fair to have favorites...but if I did...Sam would be on that list. :)

We need a reality show of Sam's life...

Yes to the reality show! How about The Real Kindergartners of Salt Lake City. I think we should pitch it to Bravo.

I thought maybe he wrote scat.

This was just the laugh I needed today. I'm weeping over this one. I can always count on that kid for a laugh.

Seriously, brothers from different mothers, your Sam and my Brian.

He is highly intelligent and hilarious! And so dang cute!

I know what you mean about not being able to rush. It causes all manner of weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I loved Ilene's comment.

Homework for kindergarten is such a joke. Seriously. Just let me read to the kid. That's all they really need.
