...fist fight.
I probably should be embarrassed to share this, but, you know...sometimes these things happen. Even among the closest of siblings. Even in the most blissful of environments (said in a harmonious tone).
If you don't have boys or don't know how boys groove...you are horrified right now. If you have boys and/or know exactly they groove...you are chuckling.
I was horrified. Then I chuckled.
All is well now, and blissfully harmonious once again.

nice work!! (I am among the gigglers!)
HA!HA! :)
My twins leave bite marks and pull eachother's hair out.
Girls....
I can't wait for Parker to catch up and fist fight! He needs a good pop every now and then!
Was the fight between Matt and Zach? I am also amongst the chucklers!! He he! Just wait till it happens at school and someone gets suspended!
Yeah, that is how WE roll too. Mac and Carter came in laughing today. And Mac said, "Mom, we were wrestling, and I got a bloody lip. See? It was SO fun." 5 and 3 years old. AWESOME.
I am so impressed that this is the first time. Did they break stuff? You know, walls, furniture, lamps. That's how my boys roll.
I am not sure it is just boys...It is rumored that Dede and I were found brawling in the halls at church...I have no memory of it- but I am assured it happened.
I am giggling. How in the world did you go so long wthout them already having one of these?!
I totally get this and I am so glad you shared. We had a scenario like that a few weeks ago with bruises on both boys as evidence for a week after. I was going to post about it and call it the post, "The Inappropriate Laying on of Hands"...then I got a snarky comment from one of my Husband's family members about something I posted (I can't even remember what it was, now) but I chickened out because this person is so critical.
Thanks for keeping it real. You are a great mom! I so get this.
Oops!
As a mother of boys, I completely understand.
Living with 5 boys now, nothing shocks me :)
My husband institutes his own version of "fight club" whenever my boys start taking swings at each other. The rules are:
There is no crying in fight club.
Brothers have to hug after fight club.
That's it. So, they beat on each other, get the aggression out, and then hug and make up. No surprises - they LOVE it.
Ah the joys of motherhood. So glad to see I'm not the only one that has to deal with things like this. My youngest two (who everyone thinks are twins cuz they are only 17 months apart), love to fist fight or any other kind of fight. You should see the shiner that my daughter gave my son the other day. Nice. Love at home?????
WHOA!!! I only get slapping fights that end in a "Moooooooommmmmmmmm she's being RUUUUUDE!!!"
So they don't grow out of it? who won?
my boys have yet to come to blows...not lookin' forward to it!
Thank you for being honest! Love that you documented REAL life.
No way! That's a shiner, so who one?
We've had our share of these type of loving moments. Once was in church between Lauren and Mitch, it's folklore in Brentwood even after all these years. Good times. Nothing better than a freakin' good shiner. (He's going to be bummed that it's not school picture time.)
Oh my gosh I can't believe they got in a fist fight. My husband told me him and his brothers use to get in fights like that to. I guess it never happened in our house because we only had one boy. He definitely got a good shot in thats for sure. I love that you posted that to because then it lets me see nobody elses kids are as perfect as they seem and my carson is not seeming like the only naughty boy around....
