Check up...

Sam starts Kindergarten in the Fall!!
You know what that means...
Kindergarten check up.
It all started out just great...

Weighing in.
Blood pressure.

Heartbeat.

Throat.

LOVE our Pediatrician! We've been going to him for 10 years & he is the BEST!!

5 shots.

This is where things got not so great...

Sam, the human pin cushion.

Happy again!!!
Sweet Sammy!
This was the first time I have EVER brought a camera to a Dr's appointment. It made for quite the photo op...I may have to do it more often.

Plus, the Dr & nurse were GREAT about it!

Poor little guy! I still hate getting shots as an adult!

Oh, what a sad little guy! Shots are always so hard, esepcially the kindergarten ones! He'll look back on it and laugh, and now he can with all those pictures! I wish I had a picture of my childhood pediatrician!

Holy crap!! Have you seen Hazen's sad face? Sam's face is EXACTLY it, just fast-forwarded 5 years. I am crying for him, but he's just so scrumptious. Has anyone told you lately that you make BEAUTIFUL children??

I love it. He looks so confident at teh begining like mom this is a piece of cake, looking so laed. And then so sad that is awful. Luckily they are so use to giving shots they are usually way fast but five poor guy that deserves an icecream cone for sure.

Loved your hair Q/A on Gabby's blog (which I came to from Andrea's) so I popped on over to check your blog out. I am totally feeling your pain on the shots. Just happened to my little one a couple weeks ago. My oldest two each needed 1 shot and they bravely went first. I was shocked when I found out Faith, my 3rd child, was due for five! (She just turned 4.) It seemed so unfair to have her pinned down on the table getting one painful shot after another while her big bro and sis were sucking on lollipops. Someone really should warn us mothers about the motherload of shots due around the 4th or 5th birthday! I could have used some tylenol myself!

Also, wondering if you would be up for a couple (more) hair questions? I'm going to cruise your blog and see if you've already done this. If not, I'd love to know if you do.

You know you're a blogger when you take pictures of your son's legs with bandaids on them at the doctor's office. You are a rock star.

Hi Annemarie!! Thanks for getting in touch with me! You have adorable children. But then, you were always pretty cute yourself! My oldest grandson, Sirius, is going to kindergarten this fall. He saw the pictures of your Sammy and got really worried! Luckily, he got all his shots last year before 4-K. I think it's more traumatic for the adults than for the kids!

Seriously--it's awful having these shots!! The first time Mackenzie had her shots...I cried and the doctor (tongue in cheek) asked me if I needed a sticker...five at once is brutal...I have a few years to prepare for that one...I may need a BIG sticker that day! :)
