the countdown begins...

In a mere seven days my man and I have an appointment with this guy...

...seven days, 168 hours, 10,080 minutes, 604,800 seconds...
but who's counting?
Really, it's no big deal.
Really.

st. patty's day ramblings...

I wish I could say I was one of those cool mom's who goes all out for this "special" day (kind of)

The Leprechaun's have made an appearance a time or two in our home in the past, this year they decided they were too tired.
When asked at church on Sunday if the Leprechaun's stopped by Sam announced that they peed in our toilet last year. That's it. That was the only info he gave (sorry Holly). He failed to mention the green footprints ALL OVER THE front porch, entry way, bedrooms & hall leading up to the green pee. Gheesh.

It was fun watching the kids pick green attire this morning. Don't you remember trying to decide whether to go all out or do the whole "I'm wearing green underwear you just can't see it." bit as a kid?

Two boys in this house wore green shirts and one just counted the neon green bracelet he got when we went miniature golfing Saturday. Yep, it's still on. It's really clean, too.

The little girl was so proud of the green outfit she picked out (more LOUD than green, really). Yes, she wore this the entire day. We even went to the zoo. She looked awesome...and she knew it.

Really, this is what St. Patrick's Day is to me.
Another reason to make sugar cookies!
Can you blame me?

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

"someone"...

...seems to have forgotten that chairs, clothing and paper exist.

(I would have been more upset with this one had I not been so impressed with her ability. Wow.)

This kid {Sam} definitely keeps me on my toes.
...and apparently has a way with the ladies.

us...

...we've been busy and this is the easiest way to catch up!
Matt has been saving his "greens" for a sweet ipod touch.
He has been introduced to the beauty that is selling on ebay, selling to friends, and misc jobs.
He is 3/4 of the way there.

Zach is all about being a teen (even though he is technically still a tween).
I'm doing my best to cope...
He is working hard in school and doing his best.
He doesn't have to try very hard at being cute, though...

Sam (aka the unknown) HATES having his picture taken lately.
He has barricaded himself in his room to avoid the camera even as I type.
That could also have something to do with his recent confession of putting hand soap and hand sanitizer in the fish bowl killing the one and only pet he will ever know.
I don't know whether I'm disturbed or grateful.

Lizzie awakes every morning with a horrid case of bed head.
Seriously.
...bed head or Kate Gosselin wannabe?

She also recently broke her tiny pinkie finger.
That's what happens when you put on your most slippery socks and slide on the hardwood floors and run right into the pantry.

I have been busy being a mom, appreciating the teachers (75 cupcakes), and trying to stay on top of it all.
I was informed last Sunday (minutes before speaking in church) that I had a lot of bullets on my shirt.
Guess who said it? That's right...Mr. Unknown.
You decide,
cute wrap top with even cuter pleats and ruffles...
OR...
...ammo belt wearin', Rambo lookin' Molly. (with pearls)
Hmmmm.

This guy, the good looking one on the far right, has been perfecting his role as dad & husband. What more can I say? He's awesome.

WHEW.

kindness begins with...

...Matt!
This cute kid started shoveling our driveway and about 2 hours later had shoveled three more houses plus every inch of sidewalk in between.
He was never even asked to.

What a great kid!
